She\u2019s keeping watch over various places, brightening up the world from her nest. Parts of her face and body are black\u2013potential Svetlanas yet to be imagined. In the entrails of her studio, we have a glimpse of some shelves. The photo does not aspire to show the world through the artist\u2019s eyes. It is the world that observes her.\u00a0 \u00a0It shows us what she wants to convey, but on the journey from inside to out we have managed to capture a hint of innocence.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1222\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fmirobcn.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/3-ALBERTO-GIL-C\u00c1SEDAS-e1550835336410.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"235\" \/><strong>Zaira Gallego <\/strong>\/<strong> Malena Bravo de Soto<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>Alberto Gil C\u00e1sedas<br \/>\n<\/em>Alberto Gil C\u00e1sedas uses white as a colour in almost all his work. What best represents him is time, since the titles of all his works of art reflect how long he took to create them. Likewise, he is also identified with typewriters, which he uses for the underlying idea behind his work.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1223\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fmirobcn.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/4-ALEJANDRO-PALAC\u00cdN-e1550835493996.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"800\" \/><strong>Blanca Ruiz <\/strong>\/<strong> Judit Zapater<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>Alejandro Palac\u00edn<br \/>\n<\/em>We arranged to meet Alejandro at Halfhouse, but none of us knew where it was. We got there and wondered whether it really was the right place. (The place was linked to a mechanic\u2019s). We waited half an hour for him to turn up and when we decided to go in, he was already there. We did a <em>\u201cthe making of\u201d<\/em> with the work in the studio, twice getting it wrong\u2013once at the entrance to the building, ringing on the interphone (when the door opened before we even got to ring), and the other when the lift didn\u2019t work (you needed a key to operate it). We had to go up the stairs and do the background in black there.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1224\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fmirobcn.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/5-P\u00cdA-SOMMER-e1550835537173.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"592\" \/><strong>Maria L\u00f3pez <\/strong>\/<strong> Mar\u00eda Mar\u00edn<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>P\u00eda Sommer<br \/>\n<\/em>When we went to P\u00eda\u2019s house, we were surprised by her aura of sweet serenity. When the session was over, she invited us to a vermouth and gave us some books of hers and another book on photography. It was a lovely experience.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1207\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fmirobcn.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/6-MARIYA-ALIPIEVA-e1550836093650.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"622\" height=\"800\" \/><br \/>\n<strong>Laia Crespo <\/strong>\/ <strong>Ainhoa Ben\u00edtez<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>Mariya Alipieva<br \/>\n<\/em>During the photo session, we tried to get the artist to interact with her works of art and, in the end, we decided on this one. In her work, there tends to be interplay with superimposed objects. A studio shared with other artists. A fascinating place.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1212\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fmirobcn.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/10-JOSEFINA-VALENZUELA-REYMOND-e1550836493421.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><strong>Meritxell Cort\u00e9s <\/strong>\/ <strong>Cristian Agull\u00f3<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>Josefina Valenzuela Reymond<br \/>\n<\/em>The artist works with industrial components and with shapes. The black tube she is holding is both these things. She can just be seen in profile behind, with the blaze of the flash on her face. We wanted to highlight the texture and material of the tube and so we chose a neutral background and used the light so that her pullover appears to be a flat surface.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1213\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fmirobcn.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/11-M\u00d2NICA-PLANES-e1550836688400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"1200\" \/><strong>Sara D\u00edaz <\/strong>\/<strong> Olga Mar\u00edn<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>M\u00f2nica Planes<br \/>\n<\/em>M\u00f2nica Planes\u2019 work has a strong metaphorical element to it. She reduces leisure facilities like amphitheatres or skate parks to sculptural structures which she intervenes in with fruit.<br \/>\nThe photograph replicates this same procedure. The artist is integrated in her own work, where a peach stands out. As she would say, \u00abplaying with fruit is not playing\u00bb.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1230\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fmirobcn.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/12-JESSICA-MORONI-e1550838521775.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"571\" \/><strong>Sara Garc\u00eda <\/strong>\/<strong> Laia Pe\u00f1arroya<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>Jessica Moroni<br \/>\n<\/em>We felt a very special kind of affinity with the artist. She collaborated very keenly in bringing to life the idea that we wanted to get across. When we looked at her website, we were immediately struck by the work that appears in the image. As well as having a good time, we also found her to be very kind and polite. We worked in her studio, always based on the same concept: layers. The final photos are two complementary portraits: a physical portrait of Hannah, showing her appearance, and another more spiritual artistic one, created with a projection on a drawn self-portrait.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1216\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fmirobcn.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/15-A\u00cfDA-ANDR\u00c9S-RODRIG\u00c1LVAREZ.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"11003\" height=\"17367\" \/><strong>Jenifer G\u00f3ngora <\/strong>\/<strong> Mat\u00edas Rojas <\/strong>\/<strong> Ra\u00fal Serrano<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>A\u00efda Andr\u00e9s Rodrig\u00e1lvarez<br \/>\n<\/em>We decided to use a digital pinhole camera, a camera with no lens. The light passes straight through an aperture. The loss of clarity gives forms an organic tactile quality, with more diffuse shades. At the moment, he\u2019s working on a project about mining.
