Vam visitar tres obres de Lina Bo Bardi: el Museu d\u2019Art de S\u00e3o Paulo (MASP), la Casa de Vidre i el centre cultural SESC Pompeia. Va ser un regal poder anar-hi amb ell.<\/p>\n<p>Recordo portar-lo en bra\u00e7os per la Casa de Vidre (1950-1951) sentint aquella emoci\u00f3 de pujar per l\u2019escala a una casa dalt dels arbres i trobar-hi un espai di\u00e0fan ple d\u2019objectes amb el bosc de fons. Els nostres ulls anaven saltant d\u2019una pe\u00e7a a una altra en un espai ideal per a la descoberta. Alhora, el meu pensament no podia deixar d\u2019associar la casa amb les Case Study Houses de Los Angeles, especialment la primera versi\u00f3 de la Case Study #8 de Ray i Charles Eames (1945). Les dues cases s\u00f3n l\u2019expressi\u00f3 de l\u2019esperit que un nou m\u00f3n, despr\u00e9s de la Segona Guerra Mundial, era possible. Dibuix publicat a <em>Magazine Arts &amp; Architecture<\/em>, desembre del 1945<\/p>\n<p>Passejant pel jard\u00ed vam trobar, amagada entre les plantes, la cabana de fusta pintada de verd, que havia estat l\u2019estudi de la Lina i que, en aquell moment, era la seu de l\u2019Institut Lina Bo Bardi. Tenia un aire de cabana concebuda per pensar, per a la concentraci\u00f3 en el treball, en el disseny, com a acte \u00edntim, jugar dibuixant, pensar amb les mans.<\/p>\n<p>La visita al MASP ens va deixar amb la boca i els ulls ben oberts. Bardi<\/p>\n<p>Els croquis <em>Perspectiva do Belvedere<\/em> i <em>Perspectiva do Belvedere indicando intala\u00e7\u00e3o do circo Piolim<\/em> em transporten a aquell moment: un ens mostra el buit i l\u2019altre, la possibilitat d\u2019acollir qualsevol tipus d\u2019esdeveniment, tota la potencialitat d\u2019un espai p\u00fablic. Fent zoom en el dibuix, sembla que la Lina ens digui: \u00abPedra, paper o circ?\u00bb, per\u00f2 no hem d\u2019escollir, tot se\u2019ns ofereix amb igual valor: natura i arts. No \u00e9s casual, ho entenc com un manifest. La Lina hi dibuixa el que \u00e9s un espai p\u00fablic, democr\u00e0tic, obert a la festa i a la participaci\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00abQuan el m\u00fasic i poeta americ\u00e0 John Cage va viatjar a S\u00e3o Paulo, en passar per l&#8217;avinguda Paulista va manar aturar el cotxe al costat del MASP, va baixar i, caminant d\u2019un costat a l\u2019altre del mirador, va al\u00e7ar els bra\u00e7os i va exclamar: \u201c\u00c9s l&#8217;arquitectura de la llibertat!\u201d. Acostumada als elogis a la llum m\u00e9s gran del m\u00f3n amb c\u00e0rrega permanent coberta en pla, a trav\u00e9s del judici del gran artista era possible comunicar all\u00f2 que fou primordial per a mi en projectar el MASP: el museu era NO RES, era l&#8217;eliminaci\u00f3 d&#8217;obstacles, la capacitat de ser lliure davant de les coses.\u00bb<\/em><a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A l\u2019interior del MASP, la proposta de Lina Bo Bardi per a la instal\u00b7laci\u00f3 de la col\u00b7lecci\u00f3 d\u2019art no hi era, per\u00f2 estava impresa en la meva mem\u00f2ria: la sala d\u2019exposici\u00f3 habitada per les obres on la Lina sembla que ens convidi a jugar a cara o creu. Totes les obres ens reben de cara, com una multitud que ens interpel\u00b7la esperant entrar en di\u00e0leg amb nosaltres, sense mediaci\u00f3. La cara \u00e9s l\u2019experi\u00e8ncia pura de l\u2019obra i la creu \u00e9s on la Lina deixa l\u2019espai per a la interpretaci\u00f3: el t\u00edtol, l\u2019autor, la data, la t\u00e8cnica. \u00c9s un joc al qual ens convida a participar activament. L\u2019alliberament de l\u2019obra d\u2019art de la paret \u00e9s un exercici que Lina Bo Bardi ja havia vist fer a d\u2019altres dissenyadors, com Franco Albini. No m\u2019imagino millor manera de viure el SESC que acompanyada del meu fill. Vam explorar aquella mena de ciutat plena de racons i d\u2019activitat. Vam comen\u00e7ar a la biblioteca, on vam mirar contes en companyia de jugadors d\u2019escacs; vam anar a veure com feien esport i ens vam animar a banyar-nos a la piscina; vam observar la gent anant al centre de salut i ens vam asseure a presenciar una petita obra de teatre en clau d\u2019humor per conscienciar sobre les mesures de prevenci\u00f3 contra les malalties de transmissi\u00f3 sexual; caminant per un espai a manera de paisatge interior ple de plantes, vam creuar un riuet que ens va portar a una exposici\u00f3 d\u2019Antoni Abad; visitant els tallers d\u2019arts i oficis ens vam embrutar la cara i les mans; vam compartir taula al menjador i vam fer la migdiada. A tots els v\u00e8iem com nens i nenes que jugaven i ens vam sentir part d\u2019ells i, tot jugant, vam experimentar un sentit de pertinen\u00e7a al lloc. Lina Bo Bardi, fent <em>gaireb\u00e9 res<\/em> ho aconsegueix <em>tot<\/em>: una f\u00e0brica que havia allotjat un centre de producci\u00f3 i explotaci\u00f3 passa a ser un lloc que s\u2019obre a la vida, a l\u2019intercanvi, a la cura, a la creaci\u00f3, a l\u2019educaci\u00f3, en definitiva a la cultura.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00abNing\u00fa no hi va modificar res. Vam trobar una f\u00e0brica amb una estructura preciosa, arquitect\u00f2nicament important, original: ning\u00fa no la va tocar. [\u2026] Nom\u00e9s hi vam afegir algunes cosetes: una mica d&#8217;aigua, una xemeneia. La idea inicial per a la recuperaci\u00f3 d&#8217;aquest complex va ser la d\u2019\u201carquitectura pobra\u201d, no en el sentit d\u2019indig\u00e8ncia, sin\u00f3 en el sentit artesanal, que expressa un grau m\u00e0xim de Comunicaci\u00f3 i Dignitat mitjan\u00e7ant els menors i m\u00e9s humils mitjans.\u00bb <\/em>(<em>Lina Bo Bardi por escrito<\/em>, p. 192)<\/p>\n<p>Lina Bo Bardi ens convida a jugar. A jugar en el sentit m\u00e9s pol\u00edtic i social del joc, amb la creaci\u00f3 d\u2019espais p\u00fablics per a la celebraci\u00f3 de la conviv\u00e8ncia i de les cures m\u00fatues en el sentit m\u00e9s ampli.
