{"id":833,"date":"2018-01-24T11:25:54","date_gmt":"2018-01-24T10:25:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fmirobcn.org\/blog\/?p=833\/"},"modified":"2024-03-14T10:16:10","modified_gmt":"2024-03-14T09:16:10","slug":"miro-com-a-tornaveu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fmirobcn.org\/blog\/2018\/01\/24\/miro-com-a-tornaveu\/","title":{"rendered":"Mir\u00f3 com a tornaveu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fa uns anys, vaig trobar a la llibreria El Astillero un p\u00f2ster que desconeixia i que reunia unes coordenades que estimo: <strong>al juliol de 1966, la companyia de Merce Cunningham va actuar a Sitges acompanyada de John Cage i David Tudor,<\/strong> sota els auspicis del Club 49; <strong>el cartell era obra de Mir\u00f3.<\/strong> El vaig comprar tot d\u2019una i, des de llavors, el cartell presideix el meu menjador. No fa tant, al desembre de 2016, a l\u2019exposici\u00f3 <em>Escuchar con los ojos. Arte sonoro en Espa\u00f1a, 1961-2016<\/em>, organitzada per la Fundaci\u00f3n March, a Madrid, vaig poder llegir les cartes que van servir per enfilar aquesta col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3. Jacques Dupin, des de la galeria Maeght de Par\u00eds (25 de novembre de 1965), comunica a John Cage l\u2019alegria de Mir\u00f3 pel fet d\u2019incloure Espanya en la gira que estan planejant per a l\u2019any seg\u00fcent. Tamb\u00e9 li confirma que l\u2019artista catal\u00e0 far\u00e0 una obra per anunciar les actuacions de Barcelona i Saint-Paul-de-Vence que posa a la seva disposici\u00f3. Uns dies m\u00e9s tard (3 de desembre de 1965), John Cage li respon dient que <strong>\u00abMir\u00f3\u2019s gift of a painting makes our plans to come to Europe next summer and fall absolutely feasible\u00bb<\/strong>. En aquell moment, Mir\u00f3 era un artista molt reconegut i valorat econ\u00f2micament, mentre que Cage i Cunningham, per b\u00e9 que respectats en els cercles m\u00e9s influents, no tenien els recursos econ\u00f2mics d\u2019artistes com Mir\u00f3 ni el seu reconeixement popular; va ser, de fet, una idea del mateix Mir\u00f3, la de portar Cunningham i Cage a Catalunya i col\u00b7laborar-hi amb el que estigu\u00e9s al seu abast. Aquest regal, doncs, realment feia la gira \u00abfeasible\u00bb. Ara, m\u00e9s de cinquanta anys m\u00e9s tard, <strong>aquest p\u00f2ster, a banda de confirmar una amistat \u00abheart-warming\u00bb, demostra la capacitat de Mir\u00f3 de trobar esperits hom\u00f2legs en altres \u00e0mbits i en altres contextos<\/strong> (i d\u2019acostar-los a Catalunya). Foto: Archives Fondation Maeght, Saint-Paul-de-Vence (Fran\u00e7a)<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e9s en\u00e7\u00e0, <strong>la Fundaci\u00f3 Joan Mir\u00f3 ha continuat aquest cam\u00ed de vinculaci\u00f3 amb la m\u00fasica<\/strong>: perqu\u00e8 no es tracta nom\u00e9s de conservar unes obres, un patrimoni, sin\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 de conservar un llegat que \u00e9s actitud, obertura i di\u00e0leg amb el present. Durant molts anys, la Fundaci\u00f3 va organitzar les <strong>Nits de M\u00fasica<\/strong>, que, juntament amb la <strong>Setmana de M\u00fasica Experimental de Metr\u00f2nom<\/strong> (sota la batuta de la extraordin\u00e0ria Barbara Held) i el <strong>G\u2019s Club<\/strong> <strong>del Sidecar<\/strong>, van ser una acad\u00e8mia on vaig aprendre bona part del que ha determinat els meus gustos musicals. Era una \u00e8poca, a m\u00e9s, en qu\u00e8 era molt dif\u00edcil veure m\u00fasics experimentals de l\u2019escena internacional. Per uns dies, per a molts era com est\u00e0 en una ciutat normal i corrent: i aix\u00ed vam aprendre a <strong>esborrar els l\u00edmits i explorar la poesia, la m\u00fasica i les arts visuals com un cont\u00ednuum creatiu<\/strong>. Experimentaci\u00f3, improvisaci\u00f3, jazz, electr\u00f2nica, art sonor&#8230; Durant aquells vespres a la Mir\u00f3 hi van actuar m\u00fasics que m\u2019han marcat enormement, i aquests nom\u00e9s en s\u00f3n alguns: Agust\u00ed Fern\u00e1ndez, Evan Parker, David Moss, Phil Minton, Hans-Joachim Roedelius, Embryo, Joan Saura, Cluster, L\u00ea Quan Ninh, Carles Santos, Derek Bailey, Zeena Parkins, Chris Cutler, Macromassa, Iva Bittov\u00e1, Hiroshi Kobayashi, Nuno Rebelo, R\u00e0eo, Susie Ibarra, Josep Maria Balany\u00e0, Fred Frith, Il Gran Teatro Amaro, Tim Hodgkinson, Xavier Maristany, Peter Br\u00f6tzmann, Alfonso Vilallonga, Lol Coxhil, DJ Zero, Pascal Comelade. Un dels pocs concerts que he pogut trobar a internet d\u2019aquestes nits \u00e9s justament d\u2019en Comelade. Es tracta del concert que hi va fer el 1995 amb alguns dels seus llegendaris companys musicals barcelonins: Gat, Mark Cunningham i Jakob Draminsky H\u00f8jmark. El podeu veure a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.summa-hvt.org\/vc\/tremolo\/214\/es\">Summa<\/a>, l\u2019arxiu en l\u00ednia d\u2019Habitual Video Team. Crec que Joan Mir\u00f3 es deliria pel \u00abCant dels ocells\u00bb que hi interpreten Comelade i la seva <em>troupe<\/em>. Fundaci\u00f3 Joan Mir\u00f3, Barcelona<\/p>\n<p><strong>Diuen que Mir\u00f3 dedicava les tardes a la poesia i la m\u00fasica, la nit a digerir-ho tot i somiar, i els matins, amb la llum clara i amb un silenci total, a treballar en les seves obres.<\/strong> Cada pinzellada, com una nota que esclata en el blanc del cel. Era la seva manera de ballar, vull entendre. Un ball ben diferent del de Pollock, que reaccionava espont\u00e0niament al jazz que escoltava a tot volum: <strong>un ball m\u00e9s aviat cerebral i reposat, en qu\u00e8 el blanc, el silenci i la immobilitat hi feien m\u00e9s.<\/strong> Fa uns anys, <strong>Tres, l\u2019artista del silenci<\/strong> i bon amic, va comissariar una temporada de l\u2019<strong>Espai 13<\/strong> sota el t\u00edtol <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fmirobcn.org\/ca\/exposicions\/2059\/cicle-silenci-explicit\"><em>Silenci expl\u00edcit<\/em><\/a> (2009-2010), seguida d\u2019una segona temporada (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fmirobcn.org\/ca\/exposicions\/3039\/so-implicit\"><em>So impl\u00edcit<\/em><\/a>, 2010-2011). Sempre m\u2019he volgut imaginar una conversa entre aquests dos artistes, i encara m\u00e9s: un concert per apagar dels que feia Tres a la Fundaci\u00f3 amb en Joan com a \u00fanic espectador: tot el silenci del m\u00f3n per ballar. Fundaci\u00f3 Joan Mir\u00f3, Barcelona<\/p>\n<p>Al final de la seva vida, Mir\u00f3 va buidar les teles i les va cremar \u2011tal com Jimi Hendrix cremava la guitarra\u2011, les va trepitjar: <strong>el tornaveu de l\u2019auditori, fet un mes abans de la inauguraci\u00f3 de la Fundaci\u00f3, el 1975, deixa els espectadors sota la contenci\u00f3 de les seves petjades<\/strong>. La placa de conglomerat que serveix de suport es va col\u00b7locar al terra i, amb tan sols un parell de jornades \u2014intenses\u2014, hi va caminar, com qui travessa un camp a l\u2019encal\u00e7 d\u2019un so lluny\u00e0. Mirat de lluny, distretament, sempre m\u2019ha semblat, per\u00f2, un balanc\u00ed, de la mateixa manera que el p\u00f2ster de Sitges, de 1966, sempre m\u2019ha semblat un conill.
