Joan Miró. Plates and engravings

In this activity, we will become more familiar with the world of engraving, through tactile exploration of some of Joan Miró's original copper plates and printing tests that are conserved at the Fundació.
Miró discovered the possibilities of engraving when, in the 1930s, he illustrated the books of his poet friends. Experimentation and the richness of results offered by this technique fascinated the artist for the rest of his life.
