Sert Solstice

Visit the Miró in natural light

Coinciding with the summer solstice, the Fundació Joan Miró is organising special tours between 6 and 10 am on Sunday 20 June so that participants can view the building in natural light.

The Sert Solstice will be a very special moment when the foundation will open its windows, pull back the curtains and reveal the building as Sert conceived it. The foundation will show itself, architecturally speaking, in its finest state.

The tour will be led by the architects from El Globus Vermell and is intended to draw attention to the fact that elements such as natural light, the Catalan vaults (reinterpreted by Sert here in concrete) and the inner courtyards steer us - but do not force us - along a harmonious route through the foundation's rooms. There is also the free visit option.

The tour can be complemented by breakfast in the cafeteria, which will open especially for the occasion at 6 am.
Special price €5 (including sandwich or pastry, coffee or tea and fruit juice)
