Can Coriol is a house Oriol Enguany's parents own near Constantí in an area close to the large petrochemical plant in Tarragona built at the end of the Franco regime. Enguany's father, former construction worker, truck driver and mechanic, has made many small changes to the original house. The photographs in the exhibit show the details of his simple adjustments. His artist son Oriol (Reus, 1994) finds a resemblance between his father's DIY method and the way he himself paints. There is no aesthetic gesture, no embellishing intention to be found. Both straddle the space between trash and punk.
