The Fundació Joan Miró is collaborating with Prins Eugens Waldemarsudde in the exhibition Joan Miró. The Poetry of Everyday Life in Stockholm.

The show focuses on Miró’s quest to create art that is an extension of life and part of life itself. The sixty works in the exhibition reveal the artist’s intimate creative relationship with everyday objects, while they also bear witness to the public commitment that permeated his artistic oeuvre. The Fundació Joan Miró is taking part in this exhibition by providing a selection of paintings, sculptures, drawings, objects and textiles produced by the artist between 1960 and 1981, and these are complemented by pieces loaned by Miró’s family.

The exhibition, which will also give visitors the opportunity to become familiar with key aspects of the artist’s creative process, will be held at Prins Eugens Waldemarsudde in Stockholm from 11 February to 4 June 2017.
