The Fleeting Body

Seeds Saved by the Earth Will Sprout from the Fire is a participatory space created by the artist, researcher and teacher Tau Luna Acosta (Colombia, 1989) in dialogue with the exhibition Our Ghosts Live in the Future by the artist Tuan Andrew Nguyen, the 2023 Joan Miró Prize winner.
The project is born of the intersection of Acosta's and Nguyen's practices, which are found in the use of sound as a healing medium and in embroidery as a technology capable of collectivising resistance to colonial violence.
The space is an invitation to reflect on issues emerging implicitly from the exhibition, which are fundamental to imagining new forms of restorative justice: How can the account of a wounded body be given dignity? How can a broken ecosystem be repaired? With what ruins do we want to build the gardens of the future?
