Viu Montjuïc 2022

Fundació Joan Miró propositions

Montjuïc is celebrating a weekend of culture, nature and leisure open to all citizens

This year, the facilities on Montjuïc hill are again celebrating 'Viu Montjuïc. The Culture Park' initiative with dozens of cultural and leisure activities open to all citizens in order to reclaim the hill as a great green lung while turning it into a cultural referent for the city. The Fundació Joan Miró is offering two open door days (8 and 9 October) and the performing arts proposition COSSOC.

Montjuïc is a network of paths, trails and tracks that have criss-crossed the mountain since ancient times. Why not reclaim some of these paths to discover the hill as you head up to the Fundació Joan Miró on foot? It is an opportunity for you to enjoy art and nature from the start of your outing.

'Viu Montjuïc' is an initiative co-organised by the District of Sants-Montjuïc, the Barcelona Institute of Culture and Barcelona City Council's Directorate of Tourism and Creative Industries.

COSSOC, by Anamaria Klajnšček and Magí Serra
Saturday 8 October 2022, at 6 pm
Sculpture Garden
Free entrance without prior reservation

COSSOC is a hypnotic choreography, full of suggestive images, of two bodies in constant equilibrium that integrate into the environment. In some ways, it is an investigation in movement into the complexity and simplicity of a relationship. COSSOC is both a window of observation and curiosity for the spectator, a border between public space and intimate space.

Anamaria Klajnšček and Magí Serra have been collaborating since 2019. Together they seek a form of communication based on touch and listening. Their field of work is situated in partnering, halfway between dance and circus.

The activity takes place as an itinerary that starts at the square called Plaça de Margarida Xirgu at the Mercat de les Flors Dancehouse and ends at the Fundació Joan Miró's Sculpture Garden.

COSSOC is an activity of the Mercat de les Flors Dancehouse in collaboration with the Fundació Joan Miró.
