This year, European Heritage Days (EHDs) will be held in Catalonia on 7, 8 and 9 October, with a whole range of free activities and open doors at various heritage sites across the territory.
The Fundació Joan Miró subscribes to this initiative, which, in 2022, revolves around the theme of Sustainable Heritage. A theme that ties in with the great architectural and natural surroundings project that is the Fundació Joan Miró building, designed by Josep Lluís Sert, an internationally renowned architect and a great friend of Joan Miró.
The Fundació Joan Miró is celebrating European Heritage Days with two open days. On 8 and 9 October, anyone who wants to do so will be able to discover the building designed by Sert, over a weekend when the upper terraces of the Fundació Joan Miró- with 360° views over the city of Barcelona - will be open to the public.
European Heritage Days are a joint action by the Council of Europe and the European Commission, and are one of the most celebrated and shared participatory cultural events on the continent.
