Viu Montjuïc 2025
The Joan Miró Foundation joins the celebrations of the fifth edition of Viu Montjuïc with an open day, a performative proposal, and a family activity.
On Sunday, October 5, visitors will be able to explore the Fundació Joan Miró for free and discover the museum exhibitions: Poetry Has Just Begun. 50 Years of the Miró, Opening the Archive 06. Tribute to Joan Prats, Builders of Worlds Very Similar to Ours at Espai 13, the photography exhibition Prats Is Quality in the foyer, and Anti-Portrait. The Miró Collection will be temporarily closed due to preparations for the upcoming exhibition Miró and the United States, which opens on October 10.
The family workshop Magnolia: Shaping our Education Archive, at 11.30 a.m., will revolve around memory and personal archives. Led by artist Ariadna Guiteras, it invites us to think with our hands in order to shape the archive by using papier-mâché.
At 5 p.m., you can enjoy the third of the Reincarnations celebrating the Miró's 50th anniversary: To Splash. David Bestué and Antoni Hervàs incarnated by ¥€$Si Perse and Ali Arévalo, will reenact the Mercuri Splash performance that took place in 2015 for the Foundation's 40th anniversary.
The café, giftshop and bookshop will be open all day.
