Presentation of the documentary Espai 10 / Espai 13. El risc radical
The Fundació's Miró's Espai 13 has been dedicated to supporting and promoting emerging Catalan artists ever since 1978. Espai 10 / Espai 13. El risc radical (Espai 10 / Espai 13: Radical Risk) is a documentary that reconstructs the history of this space and its impact on Catalan culture as a laboratory for emerging talent.
Featuring previously unseen archival footage and intimate interviews, the film champions Espai 13 as a driving force for creative freedom and innovation, thereby demonstrating the transformative power of art. Artists such as Jaume Plensa, Perejaume, Laia Estruch and Susana Solano, as well as curators such as Vicenç Altaió, Miquel Molins and Alexandra Laudo, are all featured in this audiovisual work, which confirms Joan Miró's desire to create a space where new generations could showcase their works.
The documentary was directed by Albert Pons and produced by Carmel, in collaboration with the Fundació Joan Miró and CaixaForum+.
The documentary is presented as part of the DART Festival 2025.
