50 Years, 32 Minutes, 10 Millennia
To bring the Reincarnations season to a close and to mark two institutional anniversaries that coincide this year - the fiftieth anniversary of the opening of the Fundació Joan Miró and the thirtieth of the MACBA - the artist Dora García is mounting a collective action open to everyone, using the format of a short pilgrimage that will accumulate people, historical events and institutional, public and transit spaces along the way.
García frequently explores the subject of temporalities and has long worked on timelines as formats that encourage reflection on retrospection and anticipation. Over the period of thirty-two minutes - the time it takes to cover the distance between the Fundació Joan Miró and the MACBA - curious participants and performers will be invited to leap into the void of the temporal complexities that arise in the celebration of any anniversary.
