Shhh: Listening to Silence is Listening to the Whisper of the Earth in Your Ear

How can we listen to get closer to the secret life of things?
Drawing on stories where words have fallen silent so that we can hear the language of sounds, we will practise paying attention to everything that happens, even if we cannot see it.
In order to do this, we will jointly consider: How can we observe with our ears? What can we learn from the sounds of trees? How can we understand worlds that we do not know? How can sound help us to connect with distant stories?

edu r. pineda (they/them) is a musician, poet, curator and educator. Having graduated in Art History from the University of Barcelona, their theoretical and practical research is structured around an interest in the act of sound and listening, viewing it as a form of healing and collectivisation of discomfort, as well as an essential proposal for an economy of diverted attention. In the field of mediation, they have been an educator at MACBA since 2022 and a regular collaborator of the Public Programming Department at the Fundació Miró since 2023, as well as collaborating with other institutions, such as the CCCB and the Museu de la Garrotxa.
