Angelina’s Doll Is with the Acrobat

Rag doll-making workshop in conversation with Angelina Rovira, daughter of the farmhouse caretakers of Mas Miró in Mont-roig del Camp from 1956 to 1975

Many of the objects cast in bronze in Miró's sculptures were tools or other items related to the daily lives of the farmhouse inhabitants. This is also true of the doll cast at the top of the sculpture The Acrobat (1969), which is also present in other sculptures, such as Woman (1970), and belonged to Angelina Rovira. As we sew dolls, Angelina will share this and some other stories about life on the farm. At the end, we will give her one of the dolls we have made as a gift in return.
