AMORE + Lorea. Música a la Miró IV
The terraces of the Joan Miró Foundation host the performance of AMORE and Lorea, one of the most distinctive proposals of the new experimental pop scene.
We live in a state of hyperconnectivity and, at the same time, with a growing need for rootedness. The very network that circulates sounds, languages, and imaginaries on a global scale also intensifies questions about place, identity, and belonging. Música a la Miró IV emerges from this tension.
Under the concept Tech and Land, the cycle explores how electronic and digital languages can activate inherited rhythms, memories, oral traditions, and gestures, giving them a contemporary form. Roots appear here as living matter, capable of opening up new meanings and new projections.
During the months of May, June, and July, the terraces of the Fundació Joan Miró-designed by Josep Lluís Sert and overlooking Barcelona-host three nights of live open-air music on Montjuïc. The programme brings together RRUCCULLA, Blanco Palamera, Ouineta, Abril Ndjel, and AMORE: artists working across electronics, sound experimentation, and popular forms, connecting contexts as diverse as Barakaldo, Santiago de Compostela, Barcelona, and Cameroon.
The fourth edition of the cycle coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Fundació Joan Miró, an institution founded to remain attentive to the practices of its time. Tech and Land aligns with this spirit, proposing a way of listening to the present shaped by movement, memory, and territory.
