A New Digital Interpretation of Gaudí, Miró and Gomis at Casa Batlló

The Joan Miró Foundation and Casa Batlló Contemporary will inaugurate the exhibition Gaudí-Miró-Gomis: Deconstructed on July 8, a project that revisits the connections between three key figures of Catalan culture through contemporary art and new technologies. The exhibition, part of Gaudí Year 2026 and open to visitors until January 2027, has been co-organized by the Foundation and highlights the enduring relevance of the legacies of Joan Miró, Antoni Gaudí and Joaquim Gomis.

Curated by Ester Ramos of the Joan Miró Foundation and Joana Seguro of Casa Batlló Contemporary, the exhibition brings together original sculptures and graphic works by Miró, photographs by Gomis, and digital installations created by the London-based creative studio Tomorrow Bureau. Developed in collaboration with the Foundation, the project revisits and updates the exhibition dedicated to the three creators originally presented in 2019, offering a new approach that explores the relationships between art, heritage and technological innovation.

One of the initiative’s most significant achievements is the first-ever digitization of a selection of Miró’s sculptures using high-resolution photogrammetry techniques. This work has enabled the creation of new audiovisual pieces that reveal details, textures and material relationships invisible to the naked eye, expanding the possibilities for research, interpretation and dissemination of Miró’s work while reinforcing the Foundation’s role as a leading institution in the preservation and contemporary activation of his artistic legacy.
