Games and Toys of the World
Organised by UNESCO, and on this occasion by the Ministry of Education, this exhibition is touring all the countries of Europe to mark the International Year of the Child. Its common ground and basis is to promote the absolute commitment that all of us – families and strangers alike – must make to the joyful existence of children, especially at the age when everything is filled with excitement and joy.
UNESCO also wants this exhibition to encourage parents and children to use their imagination in constructing their toys from an early age, so that they can appreciate the objects they use, made with their own hands, from the very outset.
In the limited space that the Fundació has so generously offered us – entrance hall and Room 1 – we will do our best to incorporate the messages that guide this exhibition, messages that we hope will be useful to the public and to the children themselves.
The exhibition includes toys made by children from Africa, Asia, America, Europe, etc.
