Arnold Newman: cinc dècades (Arnold Newman: Five Decades)
26 April–10 June 1990
As part of Primavera Fotogràfica 1990, the Fundació Joan Miró is pleased to present Arnold Newman: Cinc Dècades, opening on 26 April 1990.
This exhibition, included in the Documentary Style section of Primavera Fotogràfica, has been organised by the San Diego Museum of Photographic Arts in California and is presented at the Fundació Joan Miró in collaboration with the Institute of North American Studies in Barcelona.
The show features 165 black-and-white and colour photographs, the majority of which are portraits of 20th-century figures, where the composition of each image enhances the psychological depth of the subject.
Also on display are some of Newman’s early experiments in abstract and documentary photography.
