The Board of Trustees of the Fundació Joan Miró has approved the terms of the international open competition to appoint the Fundació’s future director.

The committee of experts that will assess the candidates comprises renowned figures from the museum sector - Manuel Segade, Joan Oller, Cécile Godefroy and Rosa Maria Malet - Members of the Fundació Joan Miró Board of Trustees - Sara Puig, Ana Vallés, Ignasi Aballí and Joan Punyet - and also Oriol Martí (on behalf of the Barcelona City Council), Joaquim Borràs (representing the Government of Catalonia) and Yolanda Romero Gómez (on behalf of Spain’s Ministry of Culture).

The competition begins today, 15 April, and applications will be accepted until 23 May 2026.
