Open the Archive 07. L’Antitête

Archival exhibition around the three volumes of Tristan Tzara’s book published in 1949 and illustrated by Max Ernst: Monsieur Aa l’Antiphilosophe, Yves Tanguy: Minuits pour géants, and Joan Miró: Le Désespéranto.

Gomis Transatlantic

Gomis travelled repeatedly to the United States in the 1920s, at a time of vertiginous transformation in the country.

Joan Miró. Circles

The reorganisation of the collection will place Josep Lluís Sert’s building at the centre of a renewed museum experience that will establish a dialogue between the architecture, works of art and people with an unprecedented perspective.

  • «The last time I went to Barcelona, I was with Sert at the Fundació, in that magnificent building he designed, and it was very crowded. The people recognised me. I was impressed by the human warmth around me. Tears came to my eyes. It was human contact. I had entered their blood and skin. It was very emotional: young couples with children, people enjoying a Sunday out, so traditional. I felt moved.»
