The Fundació Joan Miró hosts the first meeting of the jury for the 2017 Joan Miró Prize

Iwona Blazwick, director of the Whitechapel Gallery, London, and Magnus af Petersens, director of the Bonniers Konsthall, Stockholm, are the new members of the jury for the 2017 Joan Miró Prize met for the first time at the Fundació Joan Miró on 31 March 2017. Other members are: Alfred Pacquement, ex-director of the Musée national d’art moderne, Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris; Rosa Maria Malet, director of the Fundació Joan Miró, Barcelona; and Nimfa Bisbe, head of Art Collections of "la Caixa" Banking Foundation. This internationally renowned group of contemporary art experts will together select the prize winner in recognition of their innovative work and creative freedom, the same values that characterised the work of Joan Miró. The winner will be announced on 7 November 2017 during a ceremony at CaixaForum Barcelona.
