As part of the how from here season, curated by Carolina Jiménez, the Fundació Joan Miró’s Espai 13 presents Who Is Afraid of Ideology? Part 5: Right of Passage, an exhibition featuring the new film by the artist Marwa Arsanios (Washington, DC, 1978). The film is a co-production between the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo (Turin) and Artium Museoa (Vitoria-Gasteiz).

The project represents the fifth instalment in the ongoing series Who Is Afraid of Ideology? (2017-), in which Arsanios explores the relationships between property, law, economy and ecology. In this fifth part, the artist delves into the legal concept of the ’right of passage’, viewed as a metaphor for servitude and a starting point to examine the tensions between use and property, domination and resistance.
