Born in Puerto Rico in 1974, Ignacio Lang lived for many years in California but returned to the island six months ago. Like other artists participating in this cycle, his life and work alternate between two very different worlds — the metropolis and Puerto Rico.
Looking for a Signal is made up of three different works: Fishing Signals, Blue and Coriolis Force, which explore the reality of our environment and how it relates to our experiences. It is a reflection on the concept of horizon, of the disappearance of vision and of the mythology surrounding things that vanish. In this exhibition, Ignacio Lang also considers the function of the receiver and the difficulty in capturing a signal depending on the geographical location.
